3 NYPD detectives who had collectively shot 50 rounds at a man, killing him, in 2006 were acquitted today of any wrong doing in the case which had sparked accusations of police brutality and racism. The trio released a barrage of bullets at Sean Bell as he and his friends were driving back from a stripclub where his bachelor party was held. Police suspected that Bell and his friends were going to carry out a drive-by shooting, however no firearms were ever found.
