The Penang state government has launched its ePerolehan system. The online system includes eBidding and eBantahan mechanisms for contractors to bid for projects and for the public to voice their objections.

The ePerolehan system is to ensure transparency in the tender awarding process as well as to “enhance efficiency, save cost, reduce red tape and reduce the risks in decision-making”, according to Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng during the launch at Komtar yesterday. he also added that the system, which had cost RM360,985, was inline with the state’s CAT (competence, accountability and transparency) policy. ePerolehan can be found at http://ep.penang.gov.my.
